Erkan Terzi works in the field of marketing, communication, sales, and digital engagement solutions, focusing on integration-supported marketing and communication initiatives. He was born in Bayburt and completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul. In 2004 he completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Istanbul University. In 2007 he completed his academic English education at W. Rice University in Houston, USA. He earned his marketing specialization from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009 and completed Digital Marketing Analytics studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School in 2021. He has worked full-time in expert, manager, director, and deputy general manager positions at Koç Group, Sabancı Group, Comcast Spotlight, Ziylan Group, LG Electronics, Aselsan, and many other national and international companies in Istanbul, Ankara, and San Francisco. To date, he has provided professional consulting in marketing, sales, and communication to dozens of brands across many sectors.
He has received long-term technology and international marketing training and certifications from various institutions including Microsoft, the Turkish Ministry of National Education, Google, IBM, Marmara University, Boğaziçi University, and York Trade. He has authored books on Behavioral Marketing (Neuro Marketing, Digital Marketing, Corporate Brand Marketing, Strategic Marketing Plan, Strategic Digital Marketing Management Plan), communication technologies, and other subjects. His book “Behavioral Marketing” has been sold in 12 different countries: the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Japan, Italy, India, Brazil, the Netherlands, Germany, and Türkiye. His most recent book, “Secret of Digital Slavery,” was published in 2023 by Efil Publishing in Türkiye.
Aligned with his vision of bringing data analytics, behavioral insights, and AI-supported decision systems together, Erkan Terzi founded “inMOLA” — Türkiye's first vendor-agnostic AI-powered marketing decision engine.
Built on an integration-based marketing architecture, inMOLA unifies all data across marketing, digital, sales, brand, and communication into a single structure, generates performance scores via proprietary algorithms, and delivers strategic insight to companies. Today, inMOLA operates as a multi-module decision platform used by brands, technology hubs, and institutions, shaping the future of data-driven marketing in Türkiye and globally.
Erkan Terzi has delivered seminars on marketing, communication, and brand strategy at numerous universities. He has also designed dedicated training programs in marketing and communication for the “Defense Industry Academy” under the Presidency of Defense Industries. His articles on marketing and communication have appeared in Capital, Para, Marketing Türkiye, Digital Age, Brand Map, Mediacat, Ekonomist, Hürriyet, Milliyet, Akşam, Dünya Gazetesi, Chip, ICT, Yahoo, AA, and HWP, among other publications. He has also participated in numerous conferences and given talks on marketing, brand, and communication topics. Throughout his career he has won more than 30 awards across project work. He holds 15 distinct, original algorithms in the field of marketing integration.
In 2024, ‘Fast Company’ named him among the best CMOs in Türkiye and he was invited to the Marketing Council. He currently serves as Executive Advisor at Teknopark Istanbul under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye / Presidency of Defense Industries, providing strategic guidance and advisory in innovation, marketing, and ecosystem development.
Erkan Terzi is married and has two children.
